1-2-1 Behaviour Consultations

Your dog and family circumstances are unique and so is your 1-2-1-consultation.  Working together with you (your vet and other professionals as necessary) I will provide you with a personal behaviour modification and training plan, not only aimed at teaching your dog to do as you ask but also aimed at improving your dog-human relationship and helping your dog to be calm, relaxed, and confident.   1-2-1 sessions will help you to understand your dog’s behaviour, their emotional and breed specific needs.

Behaviour Consultations normally take place in the comfort of your own home (and places you normally walk your dog).  Initial appointments are up to 2 hours with subsequent appointments lasting up to 1 hour each, all followed by a detailed report and behaviour modification/training plan which is unique to your dog and family circumstances. 

Single booking hourly rate £50.00 per dog.

  • Block bookings: Single dog, 3 sessions (4 hours) £180.00, additional sessions £40 per hour if required.  Additional dogs in same household charged at 50%
    (*Additional charge applies if distance to travel is more than 10 miles from my home address)
  • Zoom consultations are available for clients who live 20+ miles away.

Home School for puppies and older dogs

If you cannot commit to weekly classes,  Home School may be the solution for you.  Everything covered on my group Puppy  or Beginners Class, delivered in person, in the comfort of your own home and timed to fit around your work and other family commitments.  

  •  5 x 1-hour session
  •  For dogs of any age
  •  £175.00 per dog 

 

Walking at Heel and Recall 1-2-1

If you need help with walking nicely on a lead and recall, this is the course for you.  4 sessions delivered in person in the comfort of your own home exclusively covering the skills you need to have your dog walk nicely on the lead and build a reliable recall.  

  •  1 x 90 minute consult and training session, followed by 3 x 60 minute training sessions
  • £160 per dog 

Group Classes

My group classes are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Foxhole Community Centre, Belfield Road, Paignton and last for 75 minutes. Classes are fun and friendly with limited numbers, providing you with plenty of time and space to practice your training exercises and receive feedback on your individual progress as well as ask any questions you may have. My venue is indoor, so classes are rarely cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather, and we also have the advantage of free on-site parking. 

Subject to demand classes are available for:

Puppy Training, dogs up to 22 weeks of age

Beginners , older dogs (over 22 weeks) who missed out on Puppy Training 

Fun Scent Work, dogs of any age.  harness the power of your dog’s nose  with fun scent work you can do at home with no expensive equipment.  Great for building confidence.

Follow – on Life Skills, build on your puppy training skills and work towards the IMDT Partnership Grades.

Puppy Training

Building on skills each week and including talks on puppy problems, enrichment and play we work together on the relationship with your puppy from the first lesson.

  • For dogs 14 weeks (2 weeks after second vaccination) up to 22 weeks old.
  • Maximum of 4 dogs
  • £135.00 per dog for a 6-week course 

Beginners Training

If you missed out on puppy classes or have rehomed a rescue dog this course will help you basic skills to build the bond with your puppy and create reliable behaviours.  Each week we build on skills and the course can be tailored to include specific problems you are struggling with.**  

  • For dogs over 22 weeks
  • Maximum of 4 dogs
  • £135.00 per dog for a 6-week course 
** Certain behaviours such as Separation Distress, Resource Guarding, Aggression, and Reactivity are not suitable to be dealt with in a class environment and will require 121 Behavioural Consultations. 

Follow-on Life Skills

If you have attended a Puppy or Beginners Class with me or another Force Free trainer you can continue your training journey with our Follow-on Life Skills Course. With helpful tips and training to make life with your dog that little bit easier, you can work towards one of the IMDT Partnership Grades. 

  • Maximum of 4 dogs
  • £135.00 per dog for a 6-week course

Fun Nose Work

Harnessing the power of your dogs nose to help build their bond with you and have fun together by learning some fun nose work games and searches. No expensive equipment or prior experience necessary.

  • Maximum of 4 dogs
